The BEST pressure cooker/Instant Pot cookbook EVER!!! 10 STARS!!!
ABSOLUTELY THE BEST pressure cooking cookbook EVER! I’ve purchased SEVERAL pressure cooking cookbooks ranging from poor to not bad. I just kept searching and could never find that perfect all around book. My question for that book seemed endless for one that was organized, simple to follow and didn’t leave me wondering what my finished dish would actually turn out like. I ran across a site called Pressure Luck. Jeff, the creator of Pressure Luck would post videos cooking with his Instant Pot and showed the process step by step. Pressure Luck became my go to for AWESOME, EASY recipes that even I felt confident to make. Jeffrey’s love for cooking, helping others achieving success in their cooking and his wonderful humor have been a bright spot in my quest to create great tasting, easy to prepare food. Many of us that followed Jeff hoped he would do a cookbook...WISH GRANTED!!! This book is organized, well put together with step by step pictures of the process AND PICTURES OF THE FINISHED DISH. NO GUESSING!!! There are tips EVERYWHERE! This is the BEST cookbook I own!
NOW we gotta get him to a 2nd book😁🥰

Get that IP off the shelf and use it like a Pro
Full disclosure – I’ve been a fan of Jeff Eisner for a long time now. I stumbled across his social media pages when I first got my Instant Pot. He was the one who got me beyond my initial fear of using the dreaded and scary pressure cooker. Now it’s Eisner’s recipes that I turn to when I want to show off my cooking poweress in the kitchen (I have none, I’m a formerly bad cook, but now that I’m an Eisner copy-cat my friends don’t suspect).
Now to the book. I’ve reviewed a lot of IP cookbooks. For me they have to have several functions.
1. There has to be an information header that gives prep time, pressure build up time, cook time, release time, and servings.
2. The ingredients must be items I can obtain easily. I don’t do trips to South America for some rare herb. I go as far as the local Kroeger’s.
3. It want lots of pictures. Pictures of the process plus pictures of the finished product.
4. I want a mix of recipes. Some that may be healthy. Some that are possibly gut-busting comfort food.
This book has checked every box. As I look over the index I see some old favorites plus many I’ve yet to try. The book starts with the Basics which includes a baked potato – wow, didn’t know you could do that. Then there’s soups & stews. This has the best chili you’ll ever make be it in an IP or in a cast iron kettle over a camp fire. #1. Guaranteed. Then there’s Rice, Poultry and the Pasta section. On to Meat with Eisner’s famous Jewish brisket. There’s also Seafood, Veggies and Desserts. It’s all here.
You may have seen him cooking on GMA or Rachael Ray. He’s become a big thing these days but he’s is still my favorite kiddo from NY with the cutest dog on social media. Yeah, Banjo, I’m talkin’ ‘bout you.

Don't fear the Instant Pot. Jeffrey breaks his recipes down to simple steps.
Quite a while ago, I stumbled into his "Pressure Luck" videos on YouTube & eventually drooled my way to a store for an Instant Pot. "Jeffrey, The Instant Pot Pied Piper."
All my friends are calling me the master chef when I tried the Barbecue Ribs (pg. 175) & Mac & Cheese (pg. 32). In this book, you have some favorites, and I believe some brand spanking new recipes, so easy & broken down, that a kid could do it.
Included is a primer on how to use an Instant Pot for all the different models. Also, basic items & ingredients to have on you.
The categories are Basics, Soups & Stews, Pasta, Rice, Poultry, Meat, Seafood, Vegetables & Sides, & Dessert.
These are family-approved recipes that they'll be wanting to come back to, time & time again.

We asked and Jeffrey answered.
I just received (a day early!) my copy of Jeffrey Eisner’s new Instant Pot cookbook “The Step-by-Step Instant Pot Cookbook” and it does not disappoint. At first glance I see some of his tried-and-true favorites from his phenomenally popular Pressure Luck series, and some new enticing recipes. In his traditional style, the book is laid out in steps and the instructions are simple and easy to follow. The photographs are abundant for that reason (thanks Jeff) and the layout is perfect for novices and seasoned Instant Potters alike. Jeff taught me how not to be afraid of my Instant Pot, and I have enjoyed his recipes for a long while. I am a good bit fatter since becoming acquainted, but that’s not a bad thing, right? Very pleased with this book and am eager to get cooking to try some new dishes while simultaneously having a handy reference for many of my established favorite Pressure Luck dishes. Your community of followers thanks you, Jeff. Well done. Proud of you. Looking forward to your next book of deliciousness.

Fantastic comprehensive manual
This book really is step by step. It begins with 14 pages of how to use your instant pot including pics of the panel of various models and troubleshooting steps and tips and hints for using your instant pot. The recipes are broken down into basics (ie hard boiled eggs, marinara sauce, baked potato), soups and stews, pasta, rice, poultry, meat(other than poultry), seafood, veggies and sides, and finally desserts. Each recipe has clear pictures of the process and the final product. Also each has a clear status bar that includes prep time to the total time and serving sizes. Part of some people’s frustration is the total time it can take to make a pressure cooked meal when the time at pressure is very low. This bar will prepare you for the entire time it could take. All of the recipes are approachable recipes some are regular comfort food and others seem a little more upscale all the while not being something the most inexperienced cook couldn’t handle. There’s no mention of butterflying or spatchcocking anything lol. Great overall book. I want to buy additional copies for family members that are afraid to touch their pots.

oh hum cookbook.
Save your money. any of his good recipes are not included in the book. Unless you want to go out and buy alcohol for every recipe then it might be for you. there are only a few recipes in this book that are usable. Very disappointed with this cookbook.

Not family cooking. Couple cooking.
No, sorry, love you, look up your recipes all the time on the internet. Could have saved a lot of money and continue to do that. I bought two books, gave one to my son. He gave it back and said maybe some of my older friends with just them and husband would use it. Not a family cookbook, sorry. Its probably great for you and your husband but my grandsons just would not get into it. Now before you say.. but kids should elevate their taste! If you don't feed little kids every day you wouldn't know. I raised six kids, now grands. Maybe I'll try some of the recipes on evenings my husband and I are alone for supper. Appreciate you and cook with you often. But wont be buying any future books :(

Great recipes, beautiful presentation, easy to follow
I have been following Jeffrey's Youtube channel and Facebook page since first getting my Instant Pot about a year ago. Of all of the recipe sites I follow, his recipes are always the easiest to follow and produce the best, most consistent results. The guided videos are full of detailed instruction and a good dose of humor. The cookbook contains many of my favorite recipes as well as a lot I have yet to try. The step-by-step photos are fantastic, especially for someone new to pressure cooking who may not know what to expect or what things should look like at various stages of cooking. Having the time for each step is HUGE! One of my biggest frustrations when I started with a pressure cooker was that recipes only told me how long the pressure cook setting was -- not how long it would take for coming to pressure and the many other steps involved. Consequently, my family would often be sitting around hungry because I had assured them dinner would be ready by a certain time and it was not. Trust me -- you will love knowing how long every step of the process should take! The photos and production of this cookbook are beautiful and first-rate. There is a great variety of recipes in all categories. I highly recommend this cookbook for any new pressure cooker owners or anyone who loves cooking with this method.
Edited to add: I purchased two more for my mom and her good friend. This book is a hit! I took mine to FedEx Office and it cost me a few $ to spiral bind it -- great and useful option to let it lay flat.

Sorry, Jeffrey
I have been watching Jeffrey on his YouTube channel, Pressure Luck since it probably first started. He is actually the one who gave me the confidence to dig my two year old (unused) Instant Pot out and finally give it a try. I have recommended his videos to every single person who has ever showed an interest in an Instant Pot to me.
I don't eat meat so my choice of his recipes are limited but the ones I do make are favorites in this home. The tomato soup. The ratatouille. The minestrone soup. (there are more!) We eat these three things weekly during the winter months. So when I heard that Jeffrey was FINALLY coming out with a cookbook, I was ecstatic! I finally received my book in the mail, glanced through it and YES!!! My favorites were in the book!!! No more grabbing my phone and watching a video every time I wanted to make something. Well, It was time for tomato soup. We hadn't had it in awhile. I get my new sparkly Pressure Luck cookbook out, start gathering up my ingredients and something just felt off. I'm awful at memorizing things, thus why I have to pop my phone out every time I want to make something. But I knew something wasn't right. I pulled up the recipe online and compared it to the cookbook version. WHAT!!??? It was different. I started going through the book. I pulled up the other favorites. ALL CHANGED!!!!
WTH!!???? I was seriously livid!! I message Jeffrey on Facebook and ask him what's going on?? His response.....I've grown as a cook since I did those videos. Well, that's just fine and dandy. Everyone needs to grow, but you grow with new things!!! You don't fix what's not broken! I am seriously so disappointed in this whole thing. The only reason I didn't give this one star was because I do still love Jeffrey. I will still watch him on YouTube. I will still recommend his videos to people. I just can't recommend this cookbook.
Sorry, Jeffrey.
