perfect book for a family library

I love books that point little ones to the true meaning of Christmas. In The Story of Christmas author Patricia Pingry uses a sandwich story to tell the story of the Nativity in Bethlehem. She opens and closes with a family opening Christmas gifts and uses the question, Why do we give gifts at Christmas? to lead into the story of Jesus’ birth.
The story is written in simple language and the book is in a board book format, making this a perfect Christmas story for a toddler. The pictures are well done and will allow non-readers to enjoy the story even when there is no one to read it to them.

I received a complimentary copy of The Story of Christmas. This is my honest review.
