Love this book - delicious and easy recipes

Great cookbook! I liked the introduction - a lot of interesting ALDI store history and shopping tips. I love ALDI because I save so much money over the grocery store and it's usually better quality, but sometimes I run into the issue where ALDI has all the ingredients I need for a recipe, except one (capers or fresh chives, for example), and I have to run to the grocery store for one stinking item. This solves that problem using only products found at ALDI. There are a few beverage recipes (adult and non-alcoholic), as well as an appetizer chapter including instructions for a nice ALDI charcuterie board ("basic" and "stepped-up"), breakfasts, entrees, and desserts. I have had great luck with the recipes I've tried so far (the salmon with Dijon-parmesan is my new favorite for salmon), and it's introduced me to Everything Bagel Seasoning, which I've never had outside of bagels. I love to cook, and I like how the recipes range from simple (great for busy work nights) and more complex recipes. One of my pet peeves with cookbooks is that the dessert and drink chapters are as long or longer than the entrée chapters - most of us are not making drinks and dessert every time we cook but we make entrees every time we cook. This book is more entrée and side/appetizer heavy, which I find more practical in general. Added bonus: most recipes include an appetizing picture. All in all, I would highly recommend it and it's one of the rare cookbooks where I actually want to try 90% of the recipes. Looking forward to checking out the author's other books.

Love, love, love all things Aldi!

This is a delightful little book with imaginative uses for Aldi products. Interestingly enough there are quite a few recipes that are gluten free. This would be a fun gift for all of the Aldi-holics out there!
