Description

About the Author USA Today bestselling and Agatha Award–winning mystery author Amanda Flower started her writing career in elementary school when she read a story she wrote to her sixth grade class and had the class in stitches with her description of being stuck on the top of a Ferris wheel. She knew at that moment she’d found her calling of making people laugh with her words. She also writes mysteries as USA Today bestselling author Isabella Alan. Amanda lives Northeast Ohio. Features & Highlights

  • A sweet tooth for murder . . .
  • Bailey King’s in New York wrapping up a six-week shoot on her first cable TV show,
  • Bailey’s Amish Sweets,
  • when she gets a call from her Ohio town’s resident busybody. With Easter around the corner, Bailey’s been recruited to create a giant toffee bunny for the weeklong springtime festival that will also feature live white rabbits. But back home in Harvest, death becomes the main attraction when Stephen Raber keels over from an apparent heart attack—with Bailey and Raber’s pet bunny as witnesses. . Except it wasn’t Raber’s heart that suddenly gave out—a lethal dose of lily of the valley was mixed into a tasty piece of toffee. Who’d want to poison a jovial rabbit farmer who reminded Bailey of an Amish Santa Claus? To solve the murder, she and her sheriff deputy boyfriend Aiden must uncover a twenty-year-old secret. She’ll need to pull a rabbit out of a hat to keep a healthy distance from toxic people, including one venomous killer . . .

Fun series!!

Love this series!! It's Easter in Harvest and a beloved Amish rabbit farmer drops dead right in front of Bailey after eating poisoned candy. The man's son comes to Bailey and asks for her help in finding the killer. Lots of fun and entertainment from Jethro, the pig, and Puff, the rabbit. I can't wait to see what's next for Swissmen Sweets and Bailey and Aiden!!

Quirky and fun!

If you like your cozies with a kick of quirky, Amanda Flower is the author for you. I'm loving this Amish Candy Shop Mystery series.Toxic Toffee is the fourth book (so enjoy the killer titles -- Assaulted Caramel, Lethal Licorice and Premeditated Peppermint!) but I think you could read this one as a standalone too.

Once again Bailey finds herself embroiled in a homicide case as the unofficial liaison between the Amish community and the police force. She can't resist searching for clues and matching wits with her deputy sheriff boyfriend. Aiden would just as soon Bailey keep out of it, but he has to admit, her unique skills bring results.

This Holmes County small town is full of over-the-top eccentrics whose antics guarantee to mix up the mystery with a bit of humour. That includes Jethro the pet pig who practically runs the town. But there's always room for a little more quirky in one of Flower's cozies and she doesn't disappoint with the introduction of Puff, the pampered bunny, to the menagerie.

Look no further for your next fun (and zany) escape read. Toxic Toffee has you covered.

Bunnies, chocolate and toffee oh my!!!

Another fun read by Ms Flower. This time not only are we dealing with chocolate Easter bunnies but live white ones and an 8 foot Toffee bunny to set off the Easter Days celebration in the square. When the owner of the live bunnies on the square dies in front of her eyes we know that Bailey is not going sit by and do nothing. This was a well constructed mystery with lots of options as well as chocolate and sweet animals, everything you could ask for in a cozy mystery!!!!
