Features & Highlights

  • ANGEL I know what you're whispering in the car as you pass me by. Hitchhiker. When you see me walking along the side of the road with my thumb out, you'll probably keep driving without giving me a second glance. You probably think I'm foolish. Naïve. You might assume I've made some bad decisions. You might think I'm too young to be on my own. You might be right. TRAVIS I love my job, but driving an eighteen-wheeler comes with a certain stereotype. When you hear I’m a trucker, a specific image might come to mind. Uneducated. Dirty. Perverted. Rough around the edges and a little bit dangerous. But the truth is, I’m not any of those things. In fact, I’m pretty far from it. You’d be surprised to find out I’m one of the good guys.Trucker is a standalone novel. Due to language and sexual content, this book is intended for readers 18 and older.

Well written, romantic and emotional!!

SWOOOOOOOOON! This book just stole my heart, captivated my imagination and totally swept me away. It is UNBELIEVABLE that this is Jamie’s first book. The clarity and ease of the writing was the first thing that struck me. I knew that our guy Travis was going to be a “good” guy. I love good guys. They are my favorite kind of male character. No game playing, no “issues” that cause them to lash out. Also, I was excited to read this because I have NEVER read a romance where our male protagonist was a truck driver! Angel is in an extremely difficult position when the book begins. Life has decided throw her some really doozies. She puts herself in a very dangerous position and it is by pure serendipity that it’s Travis who comes to her aid. She is open, resourceful and has a heart of pure gold. Travis sees Angel and before he knows anything about her, he is captivated. When he has the chance to help her, he does. He goes ALL in for her and we really get to see the beauty of this man’s character. He is so empathetic, giving and good. They fall in love very quickly. They don’t play games, they open up to each other very easily and in each other’s arms, they find security and love. This love story is just SO beautiful. It’s made even more so by the amazing characters Jamie created. Your heart will belong to them and you will ROOT for them. I love romance novels that remember that most readers are looking for a sweet escape. We want the fairy tale–in a context that makes it feel attainable. These two are definitely Prince Charming and his princess bride. I mean, who would have thought that a truck driver could be a swoon worthy hero? The writing is PERFECT. The story is balanced so so well–you get your emotional tugs, your laughs, you swoons. It feels good the entire time. I read it one sitting. I could NOT put it down. EVERYTHING had to wait while my soul got the equivalent of a massage. Please give this new author a try. If you need break from heartbreak and angst, this will give it to you. You guys know I am not a huge NA reader…but when the characters are THIS wonderful, I make an exception. 5 FAT JUICY stars! Well well done!! Happy Reading Lovers, Lucy

Amazing debut book!

I absolutely loved this story! I can't believe this is Jamie Schlosser's first book. I was hooked immediately and was swooning for both the hero Travis and his best friend Colton. Usually heroine's annoy me a lot at some stage through a book but Angel was gorgeous. Such a sweet, easy, happy read. I demolished all 3 books in this series in 24 hours (A Trucker's Christmas novella and Dancer, Colton's story). Highly recommend!

Sweet and Sexy!

A fantastic debut novel from author Jamie Schlosser!

I actually hadn't heard of this book, until I recently held an multi-author giveaway on my Facebook book group. As I prepped for the event, I couldn't help but read up on the books that the authors were giving away. Of course Trucker was in the line-up. As soon as I read the blurb, it seemed so unlike anything I've read before, I wanted it, so I immediately 1-clicked. I am so glad I did, because I absolutely adored this story.

Angel finds herself alone after the death of her Aunt, and sick of the whole foster care situation she decides to hit the road, with little money, a packed bag, and a post card from her estranged mother. Her plan; move to California to try to rebuild a relationship with her mom.

To save money, she decides to hitchhike. Not the smartest move, or is it?

Travis basically lives in the middle of nowhere. In spite of that he's had a pretty great life. He's has a loving mother, a great best friend, and a boss who's like a father to him. Oh and he still has his v-card. Why you ask? After a few awkward experiences he figure he might as well wait until he finds someone that means something to him.

Did I mention Travis is a sexy trucker. Yup, he is. And on a road trip he sees a beautiful girl at a truck stop. He's intrigued, but doesn't think too much of it, but then he spots her on the side of the road and his protective instinct tells him to pull over and pick her up. When he finds out her plans, he has a road trip planned for California in a few weeks, so he invites her back to stay in his home town until then, and he'll take her.

Oh how I loved how at ease they could be with each other, and then at times how awkward they were as well. Travis was so sweet and funny, but also incredibly sexy. Poor Angel didn't stand a chance.

The only catch, Angel's only supposed to stay with Travis for 3 weeks. When that times up she still plans to head to California and rekindle a relationship with her mom.

I know you're dying to know how their story ends. Read it and you'll find out.

I definitely look forward to more work from this talented new author.

P.S. Beverly is a trip. She had me cracking up constantly.

amazing!

What a love story! I devoured it in a day! Travis and Angel totally stole my heart. What an awesome change of reading for me! The pure innocence of young love and it was amazing. First loves should encounter the pull and experience that Travis and Angel did! Travis is a trucker, who gave into his temptation to pull over and pick up Angel a runaway who had not had an easy life and is on the run. Only, they both did not know what was in store for them after this simple ride. I smiled so much reading their story, and felt like kicking my feet like a kid sometimes hoping turn of events would go a different way lol Travis is a hot heroine, and so passionate! The sex scenes were amazing as well.... I felt their passion and love...so well written! I am so looking forward to book two....Coltons story. There was and excerpt at the end and I would not read it lol. I will kill myself in anticipation and know my mind would keep going if I did.... It's a dangerous battle lol I keep hovering over the page 😂...I will be stalking for any news on when it is out. Definite must read!

Unexpected Roamnce

Take everything you think you know about truckers and throw them away.

Trucker makes you see things in a completely different light, Jamie Schlosser makes you have an appreciation for these blue-collar workers.

Sure there are a lot of white-collar hotties out there. They all have insurmountable millions and dark pasta that we are just dying to unravel.

But what about those hard working men who work for the high class business men? What about their stories?

Trucker makes us wish we have those workers more of a chance before heading straight for the CEOs.

Travis is kind, caring, such a sweetheart.

Angel is jaded, lost, and has such a sweet nature you just want to protect her from all the ugly in the world.

They might meet under unusual circumstances. But it's clear from the start that Travis and Angel are meant to be.

Jamie wrote a beautiful sweet romance, relatively drama free. With a little anticipation because the characters are excepting certain things to happen in X amount of time.

I fell for Travis in chapter one. Just something about him told me that he was the type of guy I didn't see often in books, the type of guy I might not go for normally-he seemed a little too perfect- but I fell anyway.

I felt so much for Angel, she lost so much. But I couldn't deny that her steely determination and sweet nature helped prove she didn't really need saving.

I can only imagine what Jamie has in store for us in her second book, because while this was a sweet romance it still had a lot of heart. It also had quite a bit of heat. Something I'm not opposed to.

Travis and Angel don't spend a lot of time together, but their connection, their love, it makes it seem like they were together for much longer.

Trucker was a book I wasn't expecting. I knew it was going to be unique. I just didn't know what to expect when I started.

I can't wait to see what happens in Colton's book.

What an amazing surprise from a debut author

What an amazing surprise from a debut author! Trucker was such a sweet and sexy read. I spent the whole time with a smile on my face. When I was first approached about reviewing this book, I was definitely intrigued because of the premise. I’d never read a book about a trucker before…at least not one where the trucker was the main character and a good guy. But I was definitely wary; so many debut novels don’t measure up. That was definitely not the case here!

First off, wipe your mind clean of all pre-conceived notions of truckers before reading this book. I know what you’re picturing….a creepy beer bellied man with stains on his shirt and greasy hair. That’s not our hero. Travis is a sweet and sexy alpha. Just twenty one years old, he’s got the body of an athlete. And he is one hundred percent a good guy. There’s no good guy for part of the story then screws up. He’s just good to the core. Travis doesn’t play games, he’s not a manwhore…in fact, he’s a virgin. Our heroine? Angel’s had a crap life and it eventually led to her hitchhiking on the highway. She’s sweet but spoke her mind and she wasn’t going to let her life hold her back. Reading their journey was like falling in love for the first time all over again.

This book was so well written I had a hard time remembering it was her debut. I loved the main characters and the side characters were fabulous too. Beverly is an absolute hoot! I want someone like her in my life, although I’ll probably grow up to be her. I cannot wait for more from Jamie Schlosser; she’s definitely an author to watch.

So endearing!!

I'm going to be brutally honest. This book was off the charts amazing! The main characters, Travis and Angel, are so sweet and genuine.

Trucker is a breath of fresh air. I love smut, even the darker romance, but sometimes reading a sweet love story is like cleansing your palate (like my book friend Lucy said!). Our characters are so endearing and truly nice.

21-year-old Travis is a trucker. He drives around the country hauling loads for customers who are moving from one place to another. He's not your "typical" trucker though. He's a strapping young man, with the sweetest disposition and fiercely loyal to those he cares about the most. And, shockingly, a virgin. That aspect right there was definitely something different, and refreshing, to see. I think this is the first book I've read where the hero is actually just as inexperienced as the leading lady (who happens to also be a virgin). He's coming back to Tolson, Illinois from a long haul on the East Coast when he stops at a truck stop for some snacks. He sees this young woman and is just stunned in disbelief by her angelic beauty, though he moves along to get back on his route. The problem is, after he gets down the road, he sees Angel hitchhiking.

17 (soon to be 18)-year old Angel is a runaway. She has nobody left. Abandoned by her mom at a young age and a father and aunt who passed, she was put into the foster system. Two weeks before her 18th birthday, at which time she could have just aged out of the system, she decides to hitchhike across the country to California to find her mother and attempt some sort of a relationship. She gathers up her savings and stuffs clothes and essentials into a backpack, taking off for a coast-to-coast trip to change her life. Stopping to attempt to wash her hair and buy some snacks at this little truck stop, she spots the best looking guy she's ever seen. She's taken aback and how just looking at him makes her blush. Angel realizes she needs to stay focused on her goal, though, and gets back on the road. She doesn't get very far when someone pulls over to help her out. What Angel doesn't count on is that good Samaritan being the hottie from the gas station.

There is so much sweet attraction between Angel and Travis. Travis proposes that she stay with him for a few weeks until he can take a load out west so she doesn't have to hitchhike. He has no intention of letting someone take advantage of her sweet vulnerability.

With any love story, there are bumps in the road. I won't give away too much but those bumps almost cost Angel and Travis their relationship. Though their romance is sweet, there is definite sexual tension between the two, causing continued frustration. Travis wants to make sure that it's the right time before taking that plunge with a woman, ensuring that his heart is truly in it. Angel struggles to find her place in his life, but Travis continues to be her rock, never denying her wants or needs.

So much swooning for this sweeet love story.

When you know, you just know...5 endearing stars!!
