Description

"One Hell of a Story. After reading Mr. Nees for the first time, AFTER THE FALL: JASON'S TALE, I was truly impressed by his writing and the incredible narrative texture of the book.UPRISING is a worthy sequel. It is definitely a post-apocalyptic story, but one that weaves in a murder mystery, political intrigue, and a very clear-eyed view of what the initial stages of recovery from a catastrophic event would look like.xa0"The plot complexity is what compelled me to spend an entire day reading it, rich in detail, character development, and compelling narrative descriptions.xa0"This one is another clear winner, and belongs on everyone's bookshelf. He has again raised the bar for the rest of us. Bravo, Mr. Nees!"- BobbyAndrews , author of the STRYKER and PREPPER'S CRUCIBLE series.xa0 ******"UPRISINGxa0captures the revised lives and challenges of both those who face theopportunity to enact changes and others who plan power grabs."This bigger-picture thinking is what sets AFTER THE FALL (and now, UPRISING) apart from other EMT survivalist stories. It goesbeyond rebuilding society, struggles between groups, and threats to humanity'ssurvival to consider individual psyches, male and female power, battles overdirection, and ultimately the leadership roles and responsibilities of thosewho envision a new direction for the human race."The result is a powerful saga that stands outfrom other survivalist pieces by presenting a closer inspection of individualchoice, growth, and struggles both within and outside the greater socialstructure. UPRISINGxa0is a read which is lively, evolutionary, andfast-paced, all in one." D. Donovan , Sr. Reviewer, Midwest Book Review

After the Fall UPRISING

Just finished reading UPRISING. I found the story gripping—I literally had to force myself to put it down to go to sleep. I thought David Nees did a fine job of developing the characters. I highly recommended.

Continuously captivating

The second book is on par with the first! A compelling and believable story with great characters all interwoven into a interesting tale of action, suspense and tragedy. I have the third book and I'm looking forward to the fourth book already!
