I know I'm among the minority, but I will say I normally LOVE anything written by both of these authors, not so much with Vlad.
The set up for this book was perfect. We have the Russian Mafia's families outlined in the beginning of the book so we can keep up with who is who. Vlad is part of the 1st family, the strongest, the vicious Vasiliev. The V Games are their form of entertainment, and they are brutal.

Vlad just didn't appeal to me. The entire story revolves around his betrothal to Diana Volkov (of a different 1st family). Friends their whole lives, this isn't a terrible thing...except if they want to marry for love.
Irina Volkov (little sister to Diana) is used to living in her sister's shadow, but she wants so much more.

I don't want to give anything away, the story itself is very complicated - many characters are introduced, and situations are being set up. My issue was the characters. I didn't like Vlad, until the end. I couldn't empathize with Irina. I just didn't feel anything for them. I wanted to, I really did.

Some stories just don't appeal to everyone. This was it for me.
I will say, I REALLY want to read the next one - I NEED TO KNOW what happens!

Wow!! This is an amazing collaboration by K Webster and Ker Dukey. The Ks killed it!!

Vlad (the book) is captivating. I couldn't put it down. It was intense and ran me through a gamut of emotions.

Vlad (the main character) is harsh, powerful, unforgiving, violent, calculating, and always several steps ahead in all the games of life. He is bound by blood, family name, and honor to follow a certain path in life and that leads him to where our story really begins. Through glimpses of his thoughts, I determined that he was also capable of love and I found myself finding redeeming qualities in him and wanting him to find peace and contentment in his brutal world.

Vlad is a must read. I am so excited to see what comes in the rest of the series. Although the series will be a continuation of the story, the immediate story resolves within the book so we aren’t faced with a cliffhanger or anything. It ends in a great spot. I am slapping one of my rare 6+ stars ratings on this book. Check it out for yourself…

Vlad is a very intense, and edge of your seat, dark story that is so addictive, I couldn't put it down until every last word was inhaled. The dynamic duo that makes up K. Webster & Ker Dukey definitely meshed perfectly together, as there was not one instance with a break in the story to show that there were more than one author writing. Vlad is a Vasiliev, which is a powerful family who rules with an iron fist, so no insult goes unpunished. He's the eldest, and in order to keep them the top family, everything he does must have purpose, even who he marries. And he's to marry the oldest Volkov, but the problem becomes that he craves the younger sister, Irina. The bigger problem becomes that he moves both his fiance, and her younger sister into his house. The dark & twisty story kept the colorful metaphors flying out of my mouth throughout every page. I had a complicated relationship with Vlad, on one hand, he was super yummy & I loved him, but on the other, I wanted to junk punch him over & over again for many of his actions & hated him. Add in so many vicious & shady secondaries, I was on edge with whatever they may or may not pull the whole time. So yeah, I totally loved this crazy intense story so much, as it fed the dark & twisty beast that I keep locked up inside a ton! I'm ready for the next book, and pray that Diana gets spectacular revenge, but in the meantime I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND Vlad TO ALL!

A great start to this series!! Brilliant!

These two author writing together are a force to be reckoned with! With both of their evil minds put together, they always come up with a story that simply will not let you down.

Now I have to be honest, when I fort started I was soooooooo confused with all the names! Even with the extremely useful families list at the start, I was reading wondering who linked with who etc. But having said that, once I got into the story and started to get used to all the names (some of which seemed very similar) I soon cottoned on to everyone!!

Vlad is book 1 of the V Games Series, and is also the main hero character in this story. Vlad is a powerful character, Heir to the Vasiliev empire, he know what needs to be done to endure the utmost power to his family.

Arranged marriages are the way of life within the circles, so it makes sense that Vlad is set to marry Diana, the eldest sister of the Volkov family. This will not be a marriage of love, but that of business and power. Diana and Irina run Volkov Spirits for their Father and are powerful themselves, and these two families combined is the ideal situation.

But as expected, things will not go smoothly! With betrayals, deaths, secrets, and lies, the journey is up and down. The authors take us on a rollercoaster of a ride, not knowing what is going to happen next. I found myself turning the pages, page after page, just itching to see what was going to happen. You want to root for the baddies, but then you wonder why....

With plenty of darkness, and twisted moments, it's everything I wanted! It was ruthless, vicious, dirty, and bloody! As always this intricate, and well thought out plot is written wonderfully and I can't wait to continue the story of The V Games!

I one this book in a giveaway and was very excited to give it a read. I enjoy most all of K Webster’s book and this one did not disappoint at all. Ker Dukey is new to me but I really enjoyed this read so I’m going to have to check out her other books after this.

This book was a great Mob boss read based in Russia .Vlad was hot, strong, controlling, angry, Alfa and I couldn’t get enough. It really gave you a eye opening view into the world of mob boss’s The V games are very intriguing I am exicted for this series and where it’s going to take us.
