No, this is trivia about the unusual world around us and about ourselves as well. . . .This book is highly recommended.” ( Blogcritics ) Alex Palmer has written for the New York Post , Hollywood Reporter , Billboard , the Rumpus , and the Huffington Post , among other publications. in a very nice format. I enjoyed reading it

This book was chock full of interesting facts. It wasn't a rehash of old items I'd seen before, either. It was full of interesting, new information that came as a surprise, or made me laugh. It was well organized, in a very nice format. I enjoyed reading it, and was sad to reach the end.

Ok but not all that weird

Not weird info. Mostly common knowledge stuff. Not bad just nothing out there like the title suggests

Cool book

This one of the coolest books to leave laying around on the coffee table, side table or a lot of people do their reading in a smaller room sometimes. It is full of interesting stuff, I love it!

my hubby loves reading weird books while being in the bathroom, he can literally spend an hour in there, not because he needs that much time but he loves reading things on his phone or a book... he already has books such as "bathroom trivia" , this one needed to be purchased. he loves it and loves to tell everyone what he learned :)

Just plain fun

This book is just plain fun - easy to digest snippets of fun facts and trivia. Plus, there's a citation for everything in the back, so you can win out when your friends call BS!

Not as weird as I wished it was

I got this for my nephew on his 11th birthday. I thought it would be more weird/gross facts like boys that age think are funny and interesting, but despite appearing to be geared towards a younger crowd, the facts are kind of mundane and not that weird.

Not "two-headed Gila monster" weird

An entertaining thing to read if you love random trivia or know someone else who does. Not recommended for kids, because some of the facts in this book are about sex, and the humor can sometimes be at the adult level as well. A lot of fun facts are based on studies, and you can find the sources of facts at the end of the book.

I agree with others that most of the facts are not ridiculous enough to call “weird”. Even the author states in his intro that the info isn’t going to be weird “like two-headed Gila monster shuffling by in a tiny top hat, or a woman dressed as a giant raspberry doing backflips”. But as long as you’re not expecting that level of weirdness, this book should be fine.

Four Stars

Fun trivia book. Just beware it is more geared towards adult humor.

Facts Aren't as Weird As They're Advertised.

I would say that what I've read so far has been extremely informative and fascinating. However, going by the title, I was
expecting some really weird stuff. There are some a bit weird but mostly just unusual. I would recommend this book
because of it's filled chock full of brief, entertaining and non-fiction stories.

Weird info

Another one of my favorite topics. It is good. Not quite what I expected, but, still very entertaining. Think most "weirdo" will appreciate it.
