About the Author Born on February 3 in Kumamoto Prefecture in Japan, Mizuho Kusanagi began her professional manga career with Yoiko no Kokoroe (The Rules of a Good Child) in 2003. Her other works include NG Life , which was serialized in Hana to Yume and The Hana to Yume magazines and published by Hakusensha in Japan. Yona of the Dawn was adapted into an anime in 2014.

Best Manga out there!

I have just recently got into manga and anime outside of the Dragon Ball universe, and Yona has by far been my greatest experience. It is so easy to fall in love with all of the characters, basically to the point of obsession. Yona starts out as a weak somewhat obnoxious princess, but her relationship to Hak (easily one of the greatest characters ever created) and the loss of her father pushes her into becomes a strong leader. It is incredibly fun to watch her development and by far my favorite part is the development of her relationship to Hak. There is lots of humor, fighting, character development, and a bit of romance and suspense. This series will keep you hooked and not disappoint. DO NOT PASS THIS UP! You may thank me later. Enjoy!

The twists in this story are intriguing and the background of the characters gives such good insight. I actually find myself liking Suwon more each time I read about him, and this volume has pushed that forward even more. I also liked getting to know more about Gija in the bonus chapters.
