Beautiful gift book

This book is simply beautiful to look at. It would be a perfect gift for new moms or those who have expressed an interest in staying home with their kids. The ideas are easy to implement and the book also presents those ideas in an easy to digest format. The book can be glanced through based on topic or even just with short minutes of time. Definitely worth it - you will save more than the price of the book by implementing Erin’s tips.

For any Mom, or really anyone, Who wants to live better on a budget!

WOW!! So many things I’ve learned through reading Erin’s Book!! “You Can Stay Home With Your Kids” is an excellent book for stay-at-home Moms, working Moms, and really any Mom! Erin includes so many tips and tricks that you can easily implement into your family to make life more manageable. I’ve followed her blog, The Humbled Homemaker, for a couple of years now and simply love how she was able to incorporate a lot of her own personal experiences through this book. The action steps that I have already used have made an immediate difference in our family and some of the choices we make. Erin’s thoughts on how to “Curb Your Spending” have made a difference in my grocery buying/spending and in seeing where my money goes and how I can stretch it farther. As a stay-at-home Mom, myself, I can see me using these tools to help me and our family for a long time to come!
I received an advance ebook version in exchange for my honest opinion.

Was a little bit disappointed with this book

Very cute style book. Many of the ideas and her book are ones that several other people talk about and list. Not really anything new. Was a little bit disappointed with this book.

For ANY family!!

I want to start by saying this book is for ANY family looking for money saving tips! The advice and ideas are extremely practical.

The book is divided into 8 sections. Each section is full of tips with Action Steps. Can I say how much I love this!! I’m a list person, and to read something and then have something to DO afterwards is great. And none of the steps are hard: some are time consuming, but very necessary and important; and some are quick and easy to incorporate. You do need to know this isn’t a “story” type book (that one was More Than Just Making It, and it was amazing!!!), it’s a book of tops and steps.

Other than the action steps, the other thing I really liked was links to websites and the free resources she provides just for readers.

I’m already a pretty thrifty person, but I still picked up a lot of good ideas to tighten my belt even more. I highly recommend this book for ANY mom wanting to impact her family’s finances.

Disclaimer: I was on the launch team, but all opinions are my own. I did NOT receive a book to keep (it was an ebook that I get brief while), but I am buying one of my own because it was that good!

Beautiful inside and out

Everything about this book is inviting. It starts with the cute size and adorable coloring. Erin writes her book like she is talking to an old friend. You don’t feel judged and leave feeling refreshed. The tips are short and to the point. I never felt overwhelmed or like one of these tasks was impossible to complete. Instead I felt empowered that I could do these small baby steps and help my family meet their financial goals.

The book I wish I had ten years ago

I've been a stay at home mom for almost ten years and many of those were during incredibly lean years, financially. I had to find ways on my own to save money and make our budget work - this book would have been a lifesaver! It is filled with love and heartfelt advice from a mom that knows what it feels like to look at the bank account and not know how to stretch that last dollar, but still finding a way. Erin has such a heart for moms and families living paycheck to paycheck but also for all families that simply want to be better stewards of their resources.

If you are currently staying home, wanting to find a way to stay at home, or simply need some more ideas for saving money on real life expenses then you need to grab this book. The money you pay will more than be made up in what you save in the long run.

Creative ideas for every mom!

I’ve been a SAHM for a while now, so I have a pretty good idea about how to make it work. But, Erin showed me even more ways to stretch my budget and get creative. There are so many ideas here for every woman who wants to stay home and thinks she can’t, or the mom who already is, but struggles to make ends meet. After reading this, you’ll feel inspired and confident that you really can stay home with your kids!

This book is for EVERYONE - not just those wanting to stay home with their kids!

I received a free copy of "You Can Stay Home With Your Kids" for free in exchange for my honest review.

If you like practical books, this one is for you. It's short, sweet, and to the point. It's a very easy read with a lot of money-saving tips.

If you're already a pretty frugal person, like I consider myself to be, a lot of the tips you probably already do or have seen on money-saving blogs or Pinterest searches, but there are a couple new-to-me things I'd like to try. Also, it's nice to have a compilation of money-saving suggestions in one place versus in a Pinterest board with 45 different links to click through.

I would recommend this book, not just for SAHMs or those wanting to become a SAHM, but there are money-saving tips for anyone and everyone in this book.

I wish I had this book when my kids were little!

How I wish I had a copy of this book when my three were little, back when I seriously wondered how we could ever pay for three kids to go to preschool (that’s six years of preschool tuition!). Author Erin Odom is never bossy. She isn’t saying that staying home with your kids is the only way. That would be silly. However, if you are a mom who would love to stay home but don’t know if it is a real possibility, give this book a shot. Erin will gently encourage you to look at your home and expenses in a slightly different and creative way that could very well make all the difference in the world and allow you to stay home with your kids. I loved the practical moneysaving tips found within the pages of this book, from tips on how to inexpensively cook healthy meals, to planning a vacation that won’t break the bank (Vacation? What’s a vacation?), to tips on purchasing a home and just about everything in between. I highly recommend this book for any mom who wonders if staying home with her kids could actually happen. But really, I can’t think of a family that wouldn’t benefit from Erin’s wisdom wether or not the mom is able to stay home or works outside of the home. It’s all good.
