  • Qibli knows Darkstalker must be stopped. And he knows he could stop him -- if he had magic. With even a sliver of the ancient dragon's all-powerful scroll, Qibli could rewrite history the right way: end war forever; make every dragon happy; perhaps even cast a very small spell so that everyone would like him...Instead, as Darkstalker's dangerous influence spreads across Pyrrhia, entrancing or killing every dragon in the seven tribes, Qibli can only grasp the small animus objects he's borrowed from Turtle. With some clever thinking, Qibli's talons finally hold the power to make a difference. But prophecies are not easy to rewrite. Can Qibli be the magical force Pyrrhia needs, or will he be the one to bring Jade Mountain -- and his family, his friends, his whole world -- crashing down?

BEWARE: Not for Traditional Christian Families!

My child LOVED the Wings of Fire series but unfortunately, the author decided to slip in homosexual aspects into the dragons relationships with one another. I do not believe this has any place in CHILDREN's literature. The fact that the author waited until the 10th book to slip it in, seemed very fishy to me as a parent. If this was the author's viewpoints and something she wanted to include in her books, she should have made that clear early on and we would've skipped the series.

Homosexuality

My 10 year old had been loving this series. I was shocked and disappointed when she told me that homosexuality was introduced at the end of this book. This is not an appropriate topic in a series for children. She won't be finishing the series.

Parents Beware!

There is a female dragon who has a crush on another female dragon in the epilogue of this book. The epilogue also sucks you in with interest to the next part of the series. BEWARE! Book 13 has a lesbian romance that is central to the story line. If you have conservative or Christian values, this story ends here.

This review is about the quality of the printing, not the content of the book.

My son got a box set of this series from Costco (books 1-8) for Christmas and he burned through it, so I ordered the next two books from Amazon.

The quality of the paper is much worse. It's thin, almost like recycled newsprint, has a grayish brown tint to it, and is rough. The books from Costco have nice, white, smooth paper that is a pleasant weight.

I'm pretty disappointed.

book missing printed pages-not a review about the content!!

This book was returned after my son realized entire pages were missing from the book, and in other pages the printing was faint and blurred. I was questioned aggressively by the lady at the Kohls Dropoff center about why I was returning it, ( I guess my answer that the print wasn't legible wasn't a good enough answer?) and I didn't understand why I had to get her approval for an Amazon approved return. However, for this return I did. Other than that, easy return process. Book was repurchased elsewhere.

Bad print.

Bad print job. My son got half way thru the book and every so often a couple pages are not aligned properly so story is missing or unreadable.
