I thought I had him pretty much figured out early on but I didn't and ...

With each Mister book Julie gets us more and more wrapped up in their stories that we don't know what's going to come next.

Mr. Corporate is a prime example. I thought I had him pretty much figured out early on but I didn't and I still don't. I'm left with more questions than answers and I know J.A. Huss meant to do this intentionally.

Mr. Corporate is about Weston (West) and Victoria (Tori). It's about second chances. Secrets, lies, and how far you would go to keep those secrets from getting out. I love the element of mystery and how I thought for sure I figured out what was going on just for Julie to throw another twist in the story to prove me wrong.

I love being in West's mind and reading more of his story. I love Tori. She didn't let her past break her. She overcame it. Just like West. Two halves to a whole. W

I also love seeing more of the other Misters. Mr. Mysterious and Mr. Match. Even Five. I really hope he gets his own book also.

I had so many emotions throughout Mr. Corporate from anger to love, heartbreak to joy. I became so emotionally invested in the characters that it was hard to let them go at the end. I wouldn't expect anything less from J.A. Huss.

Another fabulous book!

Mr Corporate - Weston Conrad, is a successful head Hunter. And Victoria Arias is the competition. They are both invited to head hunt Wallace Arlington. They both have history - Tori and West have known each other for 10 years. They both want this contract. Business is business, and neither of them want to back down. And so the fun and games start.

I could not put this book down! As always with the books JA Huss writes there is intrigue, twists and suspense. There's steamy chemistry between these two. Questions are raised. Some are answered, some not. Tori and West are great characters - and I loved the EBOBS JA Huss always writes at the end of the book.

This is the third book to be released in the Misters series, but they can be read in any order. They are all parts to a puzzle - the back story that link these people. I'm looking forward to Mr Mysterious, the next in the series to be released.

Hot and twisty

Mr. Corporate made me doubt what I thought I knew about the Misters, and I enjoyed that he was keeping his card so close to the chest he wasn’t even thinking about what they were.

I really enjoyed Weston and what he brought to the story in Mr. Corporate, but Tori truly grated on my nerves. For almost the whole story, she went from hot to cold to scalding, and her reactions didn’t really make much sense to me. Even when I got to know her back story, I didn’t fully understand her or think she was justified in the way she treated Weston. The overall story and plot was awesome, though, and I found Weston to be great – especially because even at the end of the story, he was still keeping secrets about his own past. Just because he thought he could.

There is still someone in the background pulling all the Misters’ strings to get them into situations that are really potentially deadly. Mr. Corporate seems to think he knows who that person is, but he isn’t sharing with the group – nor the readers – so the mystery is still intact. The suspense was extremely well done, too, just like I’ve gotten used to with a Huss novel. She manages to keep her readers guessing, while the characters are scrambling to stay alive and try to stay one step ahead of the bad guys (or gals).

Even with the tense storyline, there was a lot of humor. I enjoyed the fact that while Tori and West were the only two characters present for parts of the story, all the Misters and Five make some strong appearances as well. So between the overall plot of the series moving forward, the romance between West and Tori, and the mystery that is still impossible to guess, Mr. Corporate satisfied most of my reading needs. There is a strong story, characters that evolve, a lot of teasing and a solid plot.

Written in dual points of view, with chapters from either Weston’s or Victoria’s perspective, I felt like I was right there with them, and I have to admit my heart rate was racing in places – there was just so many things that could go wrong!

Phew, what a wild ride! Weston Conrad and Victoria Arias have a past, a beautiful but also painful past. Now they find themselves thrown together vying for the same contract. But, something is amiss, and someone is playing a dangerous game with them. This thing is bigger than anyone ever imagined, and both West and Tori will have to trust each other to get themselves out of it.

So many secrets, so many lies, so much intrigue. This story is intricate and has so many twist and turns and moving parts you will still be guessing after the story has ended. But, it's the love that shines through on this one. I fell in love with Tori, she is so crazy and wild and stubborn! She cuts her nose off despite her face, but I get her. And West, he is a strong alpha male, but he truly loves Tori flaws and all. All he has ever wanted is to take care of her, if only she would let him. I think they might just be my favorite J.A. Huss couple. Well, until the next book comes out anyway.

Julie's writing excites me. It makes me think, it opens my mind up to all the possibilities. And I can honestly say I never quite know how things are going to turn out. I always have theories or hunches if you will, but 9 times out of 10 I'm wrong or only have part of the picture. I'm not going to give anything away in this review. I am not going to wax poetic or write a soliloquy to the greatness that is JA Huss. All I'm going to say is read this book, and if you find this is not the one for you, go read some of her other books. I guarantee you will fall in love with at least one of her amazing characters and you will be fascinated by how her mind works.

It's Just Business, Mister Style.

Thank you JA Huss for the title of this review! I think I've said it each and every time I meet a new character, but here it goes again...Mr. Corporate is my favorite! For reals this time. Well, maybe in this series, I think James is still my all time favorite JA Huss character.

Weston Conrad is the perfect mix of alpha I am looking for in a book boyfriend, per say. He is tough as nails on the outside, yet will do anything and everything for his woman. I pretty much highlighted every single sentence he said to Victoria, as it was so stinking sweet. Even the dirty stuff was sweet in a way because there was so much true love behind it.

There's nothing like a guy pining for his girl and that is exactly what we get with West and Tori. The Misters have a TON of baggage following them around and Tori has had front row seats to the sh#t show from day one. She knows exactly what Weston Conrad is made of and why he acts the way he does, or at least she thought she did.

"The whole thing felt like fate. And then...everything fell apart. Again, and again, and again."

That's what I loved about this book in the series, the role fate played in it. Fate and of course the other Misters. West knew he had met his match in Tori, however never in a million years realised he had met his equal. This girl is a wild cat that no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't tame. But the guy won't give up and that made me like him even more. The problem with these two, besides the control issues, is the secrets. Always secrets with these Misters and now Tori has some secrets of her own to add to the mix.

While it seems we are reading an angsty as F love story, JA Huss goes into her "mode" and the book becomes something completely different. I never, ever bother to guess what is going to happen in her books, because it wouldn't be close to what really happens. This book included.

Well written from dual points of view, Mr. Corporate is so mushy and romantic he could have been hyphenated, Mr. Corporate-Romantic. He really is my favorite Mister so far and I can't wait to see what happens with him and Tori next. While the book can be read as a standalone, it is more fun knowing the backstory of Five and Oliver, as well as the first two Misters. JA Huss always gives her readers an easter egg in the book somewhere and that's why I keep coming back.

This was an interesting read, for someone, our hero who had a tough life, he wanted a leave it to beaver life. She on the other hand does not. They clash all the time, and I will say I think she was written very tough, it was hard for me to read how she treated him at one point I was ready for him to move on, then suddenly the author rescued the heroine for me. Good steamy read, more mystery, enjoying the series.

Mr. Corporate is different from the first 2 books in the series, in my opinion. There are secrets that unfold that can brings a deeper understanding about how Mr. Corporate views love and life, and what made the love of his life Victoria who she is today. Mr. Corporate is a bit old fashion on how he see's his future with Victoria, and she has a past that makes it hard for her to grasp that future. I expected a bit more from this book, as there are still secrets being kept by Mr. Corporate. However, I'm sure that as the series continues all will be revealed about each of the Misters.
Looking forward to reading all about Mr. Mysterious soon.

Mr. Corporate deserves better

It's so hard to rate this book. Okay so let's get the elephant out in the open shall we? I hated Victoria. She is the biggest b***h on the planet and West deserves someone so much better than her. Yes I understand this is fiction, but it doesn't change the fact that she had no redeeming qualities at all. I love an independent leading lady. But she was not independent. She was a spoiled brat that need to be slapped. West wasn't me favorite mister but he was so kind and he obviously loved the little brat. My problem is that even with these less then appealing charterers the story line is soooooo good. Not theirs, but the Misters. This book focused a lot more on their past and what happened on that night 10 years ago. And how the past is starting to resurface. I'm confused as all hell about what any of these things have to do with the other, but it doesn't matter because I know Julie is going to spin such a delightful tale that I'm not even going to remember feeling lost in the end. What I didn't like about the plot itself is that Mr. Corporate has secrets and we don't get to know them. This is his book. We should find them out in this book. But we don't. I'm going to forever be a Julie Huss fan. Her writing is just so good. She writes characters that I absolutely hate and I still love the book. She's just that talented. So I will sit here and patiently wait for Mr. Mysterious and hopefully I'll get some answers.
