Description

"Sorry folks, but you can't skip the sex in this book. If you aren't a sex person this book isn't for you, I'm sad to say, because the writing is fantastic. The way JA Huss handles this fantasy scene is outstanding. You get dual points-of-view during the whole rape fantasy, role-play scene, his emotions, her emotions. I'll tell you, my emotions were all over the place." - Amazon Reviewer, KMRainwater "J.A. Huss doesn't do the cookie cutter romance and so she weaves another aspect to the story line which also heightens the excitement to the story of Nolan and Ivy. So with a little twist added into the plot line, Ms. Huss has perfectly treated her readers to a love story that has layers of self-discovery, chicanery, kink, and of course romance ." - Amazon Reviewer, Ms. Meesh "Ivy and Nolan together are scorching and the fantasy..oh my God. . Both POVs means that I was really there every step of the way and with them both." ~ Amazon Reviewer, Mary " She took me on another wild ride with her second installation for the Mister series. Just when you think you know what's going to happen next, the rollercoaster begins its slow ride and then takes you in on a deep plunge." - Amazon Reviewer, Funkycez "The scenes and banter between these 2 are so fueled with fire, lust, hate, truth and complete trust that it turned me all inside out. From the scenes being played out in their heads, to what comes out of their mouths, I didn't know what to expect next." - Amazon Reviewer, AlohaD "Two books in and I already CANNOT wait for the rest of the series. JA really can write a scene that peaks your curiosity. Rather it's a plot twist (because if you've every read a Huss book, you know she has those) or a scene such as the drawing, yellow dress, and rope. She sucks you into a world that blows your mind and has you begging for more . And that's exactly what I want now......more Misters. Bring on Mr. Corporate!" - Amazon Reviewer, Jennifer "This was emotionally intense, raw, thought provoking, I was on the edge of my seat reading, literally. I absolutely had to know what was going to happen next, and was happily awed at times, and totally shocked at several of the twists, until the twists made total sense." - Amazon Reviewer, TJ Yeah, I went there. So fucking what. I like my fantasy rooted in reality and I happen to think there's a damn good message in here that's worth writing about. Some people want to hear it. Some people don't. Isn't freedom great? JA Huss

Features & Highlights

  • Ivy is the “preacher’s daughter”. Everything about her screams “innocent” and ready for corruption. She’s well-educated, well-respected, and desperate for a job after just graduating college.
  • She’s sunning herself one day when a sweet job offer is literally hand-delivered from the infamous Mr. Romantic, Nolan Delaney, himself. Well… his driver, anyway.
  • Ivy knows who Mr. Romantic is. All the Misters are infamous. They were involved in a media-frenzy college scandal some years back and
  • everyone knows Mr. Romantic was the one who “did it”
  • .
  • They miraculously beat the rap and have been busy being billionaires ever since. But even though Ivy is ready for the challenge (and
  • really
  • needs this job) something is up at Mr. Romantic’s desert resort.
  • Nolan Delaney might be deliciously hot, but he’s got a dark side lurking under that charm. And when I say dark… I’m talking…
  • depraved

Mr. Romantic....NOT!

I almost stopped reading this one. Mr. Romantic, Nolan, was anything but romantic. He scared the hell out of me. I'm all into role play but you just don't know with this guy until you just do. Oh yeah....this book lost one star when he spit in mouth. What the @#$k!

This series is a departure from what I've come to expect from Ms. Huss. It's not really about the culmination of the relationship between two people but all about the 5 young men that were publicly indicted in the public eye for a crime they didn't commit and how it irrevocably changed them. OK. I've got Perfect and Romantic down and am looking forward to the next guy, Corporate. I really wish I read EOBS before I finished this book. I love the author's opportunity to give us a look into her thinking about the story and the characters. It really helps us understand where she is going with this particular story. I also enjoyed meeting Oliver Shrike in this one. I love crossovers, especially when I've read all her books and find all the characters so memorable.

I will mention that editing in this was a bit spotty with missing words which is not usually the case in her books. Not too terrible but there nonetheless.

5 Dark Role Playing Stars

I know that this book won't be for everyone, but it WAS for me. It was practically written just for me. I loved it, I stayed up all night just to finish Nolan and Ivy's story. It's dark, mysterious, messed up and wrapped up in a thousand things that should be wrong but somehow feel right. I don't even bother questioning 'why' I love these dark reads anymore, but this one was fabulous. JA Huss has truly delivered a new masterpiece. The best part? I'm suddenly invested in the series.

Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed Mr. Perfect. It was hilarious and witty and sexy, and not at ALL like the book that I just finished. The only thing tying these books together are the group of misfit misters who I am quickly learning to love. I want to know all their stories now, I'm in too deep.

Brilliant. Give me more!

Mr Romantic

I loved reading this next installment in the Misters series. I love how Huss pushed the envelope on sexual fantasy and knocked down any barriers that I had. Not only did she knock down my walls, but we learn more about what happened to the Misters on that night that changed their lives. And I gotta say, I am so excited to learn more about Mr. Mysterious.

An unexpected invitation

**Gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review**. Mr Romantic, book 2 in the Mister series (can be read as a standalone). Ivy Rockwell gets an unexpected invitation, one that leads to a lot more than a job offer. Sex scenes involving violence, rape and bondage all feature in the fantasy world of this Mister. Will Ivy play along or will this be too much for her being so young and inexperienced. Nolan Delaney lives in his own world, money, fast cars, a jet on standby and a helicopter to take him off to his many homes. But there are secrets that even he is unaware of and these all lead to danger for himself and Ivy. I'm looking forward to reading more of the Misters, there is a back story linking the Misters together and I'm looking forward to finding out more about them all.

My Favorite Mr. So far!

This book needs a Goodreads shelf of its own seeing how I had no idea how to tag it. There is so much going on, I had to review it ASAP to keep things straight in my head.

Mr. Delany you took my breath away. In pure JA Huss fashion I hated you for about the first half of this book. Because I'm a superfan, I didn't let those feelings fester long, as I know you will redeem yourself by the end. And you did. In spades.

"You're getting me tonight Ivy. I hope you can handle it. Because I'd hate to disappoint Mr. Corporate at the next party." ~ Mr. Romantic.

Me, me, me. That's the mantra of Mr. Romantic. Look how handsome I am, how rich I am and how big my dick is. I'm gonna rock your world baby. Blah, blah, blah, my least favorite character in the book world is the blow hard alpha male. He's the man and he's gonna give it to you. Piss off dude, actions speak louder than words and that's what couldn't wait to get from Nolan Delany. Action.

"I can imagine Mr. Romanic being one transgression after another. And I can imagine all the hearts he's broken in the process. I can imagine all the ways in which he walks out. All the ways in which he is begged to stay." ~ Ivy

I was right there with Ivy the entire time. Wanting to know what makes this guy tick. Sure we all know what happened to the Misters ten years ago, but how did it affect Mr. Romantic? Was he romatic before the incident? Did the incident make him the cold shell of a man he is today? This guy was very mysterious, so now I am a little frightened of what the actual Mr. Mysterious is going to have going on when we meet him.

"He felt like...a possibility. Like maybe he and I might turn into something more. Like he and I were special." ~ Ivy

There was something instantly between these two and I couldn't get enough of it. Nolan and Ivy were on a dinner date and this particular scene was written so casually, it was as if I was sitting right there listening to the conversation in person. JA Huss has such a talent with writing witty banter and shows it off in every book she writes.

Mr. Romantic has a lot going on personally and professionally and Ivy needs to decide if she's all in. This guy has lots and lots of strings attached, while she is a young girl looking to finally live a little. I wouldn't want to be in her shoes for a second, as there is a lot of blind faith involved in every decision she has to make concerning him.

"...he does have secrets. Deep ones. Dark ones. And he's right. Once I know them, I can never unknow them." ~ Ivy

Holy crap is this book nail biting good! I kept looking at the percentage and freaking out because I just didn't know how things were going to come to a head. In pure JA Huss fashion there's a twist right along with a WTF and off the charts sex scenes. Off. The. Charts. As much as I liked Mr. Perfect, Mr. Romantic has taken the lead and I think it's because he has a bit of a darker side that I am fond of.

The book is well written from dual points of view and gives us more information on the incident from ten years ago. As well as more information on the other Misters. Man, each sounds better than the last. I can't wait to meet them all!

Perfect to read Mr

Warning: This is one book that you will pick up and not be able to put down. Also this book is a standalone. You do not need to read Mr. Perfect to read Mr. Romantic.

Mr. Romantic is hot, semi dark and not your normal romance book. It's everything that I was looking for and more. I shouldn't be shocked by what I read by J.A. Huss but with each new book she writes, she continues to shock me. She throws in something that is completely messed up and has your mind blown wondering wth you just read. You never know what to expect and that's what makes her books different. Every book isn't the same. Each story is different. Each character. It's not a cookie cutter love story and I love that.

I have to say at first I didn't really like Nolan (Mr. Romantic). He's not the lovable type. He's arrogant, cocky, too handsome for his own good and knows that no woman will say no to him just by flashing a smile. I don't like those types. BUT in true fashion, Julie has a way for making you falling in love with people you think you shouldn't. I fell for Nolan. Hard. He had me after Chapter 25. Once you read Mr. Romantic then you'll be questioning my sanity.

"Defiance is defined as open resistance. But a seductive man knows how to turn resistance into reluctance into acceptance."

I love Ivy from the get go. Being a preacher's daughter myself, I could relate to her and being raised up in a strict house. I understood her. You can only be sheltered so much before you want to run free and be wild. She's smart, funny and doesn't let any man put down her intelligence because she looks so innocent. She also doesn't put up with Nolan's bulls*** and I love that about her.

"I think I'll keep my virginity for someone special and go for the job."

I loved Mr. Perfect but I hate to say this, I love Mr. Romantic more! I love how dark and mysterious it was. I just couldn't put it down! J.A. Huss's writing is twisted and demented at times, then she shows a soft spot and we see a different side of her. But don't let that soft side fool you, she's still an evil genius that can make you cringe when you least expect it.

I wish I could give Mr. Romantic 10 stars because it deserves so much more than 5!

It seems like each book in the Misters Series keeps getting darker and darker. More mysterious than the one before. I can't wait for Mr. Corporate!

Another winner!

You just know a series is going to be amazing when book 2 comes out and you love it even more than book 1. Mr. Romantic was a great read and had all the elements any long-time JA Huss reader will be expecting. It also has Nolan and Ivy - both incredibly strong characters who are fascinating - they make you want to keep reading just to find out what will happen next! Nolan is a favorite of mine - he is a little hard to like and maybe slightly unhinged at times but so was James (Come, Come Back, Coming for you) and he is my all-time. If I had to categorize this book, I'd go with dark, romantic suspense. The story keeps you guessing all the way through and twists and turns and touches on the taboo ending up exactly where it should be. Another winner from JA Huss!

Mr. Romantic is a read that encompasses every thing that can be wished for in a great book.

Mr. Romantic is the continuation (standalone) of the Misters series. Nolan Delaney is Mr. Romantic, one of 5 young men who were accused of a crime while students at Brown University. They are known to the Country as the Brown Misters. Mr. R owns several clubs in California and is about to open a Resort in the middle of the Hot desert. Ivy Rockwell is a recent graduate of Brown with a Marketing Degree. She receives an invitation to interview for a Position at the Resort. Mr. R and Ivy have a connection upon meeting. Nolan would like to pursue her in a sexual way, but Ivy has her reservations. Bring in a bitchy sister and some strange events and you have the makings of a story that will leave you wanting more. Fair warning on the steamy sex scene: **it is a little on the twisted deviant side-fantasy rape scene**
During this scene, I will say the writing was so spectacular that I was confused as to what was real and what was play.

Throughout Mr. Romantic, we are given a little more insight into the other Misters, namely, Mr. Match (he may or may not be the son of a certain Bike Guru) and Mr. Mysterious (his family lineage sounds very familiar). Another Genius offspring is mentioned in the book as well, which completely made my day!

Mr. Romantic is a read that encompasses every thing that can be wished for in a great book.
I am looking forward to meeting the rest of the Brown Misters more thoroughly.

A sexy, spin tingling story that will leave you breathless!

Ivy Rockwell is fresh out of college and needs a job, stat. Lucky for her she gets an offer she can't refuse, and interview with the infamous Nolan Delaney, aka Mr. Romantic. She soon questions her decisions when she meets Nolan, the man is everything they say he is and more. Only problem? He is a first class, grade A, alpha a-hole! Ivy should get while the getting is good, but she gets caught up in Nolan's charm and quickly finds herself in over her head. Nolan is intrigued by Ivy at first sight, everything about her screams naive and innocent, and he can't wait to corrupt her. Ivy and Nolan get involved but it turns out to be more than they both bargained for.

Nolan is a complex and intriguing character and at times he made me feel a little uneasy. But, once the layers of his personality get peeled away it's revealed he is actually quite vulnerable and sweet. Ivy is everything you think a preacher's daughter would be, innocent, naive and gullible. Despite that she is a strong young woman and can give as good as she gets.

This story is like nothing I have ever read before, it has mystery, intrigue, edge of your seat action, and scorching hot love scenes some of which are quite taboo and might leave some readers feeling a little uncomfortable. But, fret not, this is a journey you want to go on, trust me! Even though I figured out some of the mystery, I still wasn't prepared for the ending. It really kept me guessing until the very end! This is definitely a story I won't soon forget and I can't wait for Mr. Corporate.
