Lilah Love as Murder Girl is a fascinating character. She is rough and tough, loving her career as a FBI profiler. She is in a relentless pursuit of a killer, whose murders spans three states. She has a fascination for guns, knives, and dead bodies and a do-whatever-it-takes attitude to do the right thing.

The backstory involves a jurisdictional power struggle among law enforcement entities and a political fight including local government and organized crime. A major part of the story features Lilah and the love of her life Kane Mendez, who is himself a suspected crime boss.

I preordered this book after reading Book I Murder Notes. The Lilah Love character is unforgettable. I sincerely hope the series continues.

Superb, Story! Lisa Renee Jones sure knows how to capture her readers attention, in this highly, addictive, highly, suspenseful, and highly, dramatic, thriller. The story is intense, filled with danger, betrayal, murder, secrets, as well as romantic intrigue. A thrilling, roller coaster ride, that keeps you on the edge of your seat, holding your breath, as this story unfolds. The writing is fantastic, the character development superb, grabbing the reader and not letting you go, until long after you are finished reading. Don’t miss this exceptional story. I just can’t get enough of Lisa Renee Jones works. Highly recommend this series.

This is the second book in this series and they must be read in order. Lilah is still trying to figure out who the murderer is. She thinks an assassin is behind them. More cases may be linked to these murders. She believes there maybe a cult or something behind it all. After all someone had to hire the assassin if there is one. She is still dealing with both Rich (her ex) and Kane (also her ex). She is learning that her family may be more involved than she first thought. She is beginning to question if more people she knows may be involved. Lilah is going to have to make some decisions. She is also going to be forced to finally make a choice about Kane. He knows her and gets her better than anyone else. She does get the answer to some of her questions and leads on some other things. This book pulled me in more than the first one. I love Lilah. She doesn’t give a crap about what anyone thinks of her. She is torn in some ways. She cares about her brother and doesn’t want him pulled further into what her father is involved in. Some things come to light in this book that Lilah had no idea about. Things are definitely more complicated than Lilah first thought they were. I highly recommend this series if you like dark mysteries. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

I literally kept guessing who is the good guy and who is the bad? When I thought I had everything straight, nope, not so much! I love when I don't figure it out too quick and I'm still going what??? at the end of the book. I got some answers to my questions but now I have more!!!

When she's trying to tell everyone what her profile on the killer is, no one is taking her seriously. She has to fight with everyone to try to get her point across.

I absolutely love mystery romance books and this one definitely fits that bill for me. I can't wait for the next book! I mean come on, who can't wait to see more of Lilah and Kane. (I have a thing for bad men who have a good heart!) When Kane and her are together they are combustible and can't wait to see more of them!!!

I pretty much begged for this book since I read Murder Notes, so it's not like the title, blurb or cover had anything to do with it. Part two was a must have after an amazing part one.

Special Agent Lilah Love is an amazing character. After the first part, I didn't think the chemistry between her and Kane Mendez could get any hotter but this book took nuclear to a whole new level. So many amazing quotes from this book..... I think I highlighted half my book. I do say though if you loved book one, take time to highlight it because this series isn't going to end here. Which in my book is five stars of amazing! Make a timeline because I'm pretty sure we will be seeing most of these characters again. In this part Lilah is coming closer to the truth and everything is getting more serious. It feels like her back is against the wall and she is left with the only person she can trust...the only person that truly knows her....Kane. He is such an enigma character. I think I'm more melancholy because I'm finished with the book, and I want more. That's what makes books like this one so great, that feeling when you finish and just want more. Five stars of entertainment! Damn fine job!
