Simply Amazing!!!

Wow! This book is amazing. It comes in two parts. Part one is like a extended prologue where you learn some back story about the world Ms Jones takes you into. You also learn about Cassandra and Michael and the other characters. Part two is where things get really interesting.

Michael is a soldier that was injected with alien DNA and is now part of a group of soldiers called GTECHs. Cassandra is the daughter of the man who changed these men. When they first meet the chemistry burns up the pages. They quickly become an item and things are going well until one day all hell breaks loose and they are both forced to make decisions that may change their lives forever.

I loved this story. It was well written and the plot made sense. There were a lot of complicated scenes and everything still seemed to flow. There are actually three groups of people that you are reading about and I loved the fact that you get an insight into all of them. You don't just get to hear from Cassandra and Michael, you get to hear from a lot of different characters good and bad. It really helps you understand what is going on throughout the whole story. All the characters are strong and interesting. The chemistry is explosive, the action keeps you interested, and the suspense keeps you on the edge of your seat. This book left me wanting more! A must read!!!

A great story

Cassandra Powell is working for her father; General Powell, the head of a government program called Project Zodius GTECH Super Solider Program. The soldiers learn of General Powell plans to take a crystal called Red Dwart to control and manipulate every soldier enrolled in the program. As the soldiers fight against Powell they fight against amongst themselves and split into two groups, Zodius and GTECH.
Battle lines are drawn and Cassandra has to pick a side, betray her ruthless father or align with the man she loves, Michael.

Gosh what a great story; exciting, thrilling and entertaining read. It had just the right amount of action, romance, and suspense. Love it.

Would I recommend Michael: Sin and Satisfaction to a friend? Yes!

Michael is delicious

I am a very fast reader but when I opened up my copy of Michael I was unprepared with the urgency that I felt at not being able to devour this book fast enough. I love when the first book in a series captures me so quickly and so thoroughly.
Michael and Cassandra are perfect mates and the emotional and physical trials they must face as they fight to not only be together but to uncover the truth at who they can trust to stand beside them in their battle is truly remarkable. I read hundreds of books a year and this book one of the books I look back on at the end of the year as one of the top of the heap. The title of the book says it all: Sin and Satisfaction.....a true top notch urban fantasy that will not only leave you begging for more but will have you rethinking your beliefs at what is truly possible with the technology and advances of science when the military is stretching to find ways to stay ahead of and to defeat the enemy.

Awesome New Series!

Project Zodius is the Code name for the government's top-secret operation--two hundred Special Operations soldiers who were assigned to Groom Lake (Area 51) and injected with what they believed to be immunizations, but which was, in fact, alien DNA.

The Super Soldiers created under Project Zodius are called GTECHS and are divided into two groups--Zodius (bad GTECHS) and Renegades (good GTECHS). GTECHs are stronger, faster, and more agile than humans; they heal rapidly and have low fatality rates. They can wind-walk. Over time, many are developing special gifts unique to them, such as telepathy, ability to communicate with animals, and more.

The GTECHS have a LifeBond with their women. They are bonded physically for life and death. If one dies, so does the other. This bond allows the GTECH male to reproduce, and it offers the females the same physical skills as their male Lifebond.

I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this book. I was really looking forward to reading this and I wasn't disappointed. Once I started reading this book, I didn't want to put it down! I totally got sucked into this world. Michael is a strong sexy warrior and Cassandra is his match. The chemistry between the two is hot! The story is full of action and moves right along. I can't wait to read the next book in the series!

Chug through the first 80 pages, it's worth it.

I actually really liked this book, once I got through the first 80 pages. The first part was a little hum drum. The characters are thrown together with out any real development. I was hard to cheer for them since it felt like we didn't really know them.

However, once I got through that phase it was a really great book. Lots of action, adventure, love, and lust. There was a lot going on with different factions, but I was never lost. The characters flushed out more, the plot thickened and I found myself eager to read more. I will be sure to grab the next in this new series.

The Legend of Michael

This is fast paced, sexually charged, action.

Cassandra is a beautiful psychologist who has been brought into the top-secret facilities at Area 51 to evaluate the recently created hi-tech soldiers known as GTECHs. These are Super Soldiers who were created by injection of alien DNA. The secret Project Zodius is headed by Cassandra's father, General Powell. Although Cassandra believes her father's claims that he is trying to protect and help the Zodius soldiers, sometimes she has doubts.

Michael is one of the top Gtech Soldiers with his super human strength, his dedication to the mission and his special abilities to not only wind walk, like all the GTECHS, but his newly developing ability which he is keeping secret. Michael knows that getting involved with Cassandra could expose her to danger but he can't resist the attraction.

Cassandra knows better than to get involved with a man whose life is soldiering and who is also a "patient" in her program. When she decides that one dinner can't hurt she has no idea how the magnetic pull between them could lead to bonding them together -- in trouble.

A group of the GTECH soldiers, led by Adam and helped by Michael, escapes from the government control to establish their own colony. Adam is darkly evil and plans to take over the world with his super human Zodius race. The remaining GTECH soldiers, the Renegades, are being led by Adam's twin brother, Caleb. It is the Renegades goal to protect humans from the brutal Zodius soldiers.

While the two soldier factions gather their resources, General Powell and his scientists are creating a new weapon which is developed from a red alien crystal. Although use of Red Dart has been fatal to humans, Powell hopes to use it to trace, torture and control the GTECH soldiers.

When Michael returns after being with the enemy soldiers for two years Cassandra doesn't know who she can trust. Michael claims he was undercover for the Renegades and he tells her of her father's real plans to use Red Dart to gain control of the Renegades as well as the Zodius soldiers. Cassandra doesn't want to believe her father is so ruthless. Can she really trust Michael? Can Michael keep her safe when she is a target for Zodius to either kill or use as a hostage?

I liked the characters of Cassandra and Michael who are both strong yet have a vulnerability and need for each other. I especially liked the very good story line which has lots of creativity and action. I liked the chemistry among the characters and there are other characters who also have some good chemistry and banter. I wasn't totally enthralled with the plentiful romance scenes which are pretty edgy - "scorching" as the book blurb says. I think I would like to continue the series to see how the battle goes and I can hope the heat level won't get any hotter.

a recommended read

A soldier transformed into a new race with questionable loyalties. A daughter trying to hold on to her father and the man she loves who are at opposite moral stances. What should you do when your heart is going to be broken either way and you are sure one of them has to lose?

I really enjoyed this one. I like that it contained a few new ideas so I wasn't reading the same old story. I also like that the characters had some substance. The woman was a little weak and whiney for me, but not enough so that I felt like chucking the book. It also set up some other characters for future books. All in all a great read and eye candy to boot! So, yeah!

A fast paced adventure

Cassandra Powell is eager to start her work as the clinical head of psychology for the Project Zodius. The GTECH soldiers are definitely a whole new breed of fighters. They had alien DNA added to their systems and their progress has to be closely monitored. Cassandra is intrigued by these soldiers extra abilities and their connections to their mates. She didn't think that the one they call The Dark One would be the one that captures her imagination.

Michael Taylor exudes power. He carries himself like no other soldier on base. He has always walked the fine line between good and evil. Michael has to work both sides in order for good to triumph. Michael is entranced by the lovely Cassandra Powell. She is his number one enemies daughter, the man who transformed him and this causes him to be conflicted.

Though Michael and Cassandra give into their passion there are forces pushing them apart. It will take both of there will power to fight to stay together as they fight their enemies. They will have to go to extra ordinary lengths to safe their love and their country.

The Legend Of Michael is captivating. You are drawn into a new life style that is fascinating and compelling. It's a multi layered world of good and evil. Sometimes you aren't sure which side some characters fall on but it draws you in and entertains. Michael and Cassandra are sizzling in and out of the bedroom. Their chemistry is scorching and their connection is deep and emotional. Looking forward to the next story in this series.

Intersting

My thoughts:

Not an easy book to find a genre for. The world is the same, present day, but there is one thing that is different and that is that aliens did crash and the US government hid the fact. Then later they injected soldiers who become something more. Strength, the ability to travel with the wind and other things is what they gained. But the soldiers split into two groups, the bad and the good. So there is sci-fi paranormal, romance and suspense.

There was a lot of suspense in this one, and the whole book felt like a starter to something more. Things gets explained, why they are fighting, what lifebounds are (the men and their women connect in a special way), and how the Renegades (the good guys) build something new. We also meet Michael, the dark one. I am never sure what to think about him, but I am sure drawn to him. Cassandra is the daughter to the man who was there to start this whole mess of these extraordinary soldiers, and I do grow to like her.

I have heard some complaints about that the romance was short and so, but I did not mind. Things moved forward and then when these two were together it was passionate.

The men are out of this world. It was a fastpaced moving book.

Conclusion:

A book for those who like suspense in their books. There is danger, plots, conspiracies and interesting men. When the book ended I did feel that this series might have something to offer. A battle is coming.

Rating:

I do like suspense and romance mixed with sci-fi like aspects

Legend of Michael

Michael is a human soldier that has been injected and changed with alien DNA by the government. Among his fellow soldiers he is legend and one not to cross. When Cassandra & Michael meet for the first time, they literally crash into each other. From that first gaze and touch he rocks her world. Instantly Michael knows that Cassandra is his mate and will do anything to protect her... even if that means leaving her behind.

This book holds a story of soldiers drastically changed by alien DNA, but also a story of life mates. Something that always draws me in. For me The Legend of Michael was a surprise. I wasn't sure I was gonna like it. I don't read many books with military type settings. But it was a much more than a military story. It was one hot story, and an exciting new world. Original, full of action with fun steamy scenes. Michael's commanding presence sizzles and jumps off the page.
