Features & Highlights

  • A captivating story of secrets and second chances, set in a sultry Italian villa on the banks of Lake Como. Cesca Shakespeare has hit an all-time-low. Not only is she suffering from writer's block but she's just been fired from the worst job in the world and has no possible way of paying next month's rent. So when her fairy Godfather offers her a free summer holiday in a beautiful Italian villa, she grudgingly agrees to try writing again. That's before she finds out the house belongs to her arch-enemy, Sam Carlton. Having just hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons - again - Hollywood heart-throb Sam Carlton needs a place to hide out. Where better than his family's gorgeous empty villa on Lake Como? Except when he arrives, it isn't as empty as he'd hoped. One thing's for sure - this is going to be a red-hot, scorching summer . . . A brand new series from the bestselling author of Fix You and the Love in London series. Look out for more in The Shakespeare Sisters with A Winter's Tale and Absent in the Spring now available from Carrie Elks. Seriously a waste of reading time

I couldn't stand the heroine - she is whiny and unreasonable and has a terrible attitude. So you had one failure, get over it! It's been 6 years!! Enough of the self pity please.

Women should not be portrayed in books and movies as such useless women with no other occupation (literally Cesna has no other occupation) in life than to just be happy when they get laid, and for a woman to write about such a woman is disappointing.

I get vulnerability in a woman but Cesna is nothing but annoying and impossible to like.

The sex scenes are vulgar and serve no real purpose other than giving Cesna what she wants and the vulgarity of the language used was unpleasant.

This book is not for me and people like me.
