Funny and informative non-fiction picture book

My kids (5 and 9) and I love, love, love this series! Earth was fantastic and Sun did not disappoint.
These stories are narrated by their main character. So, Sun writes about itself (and does a fantastic job, I might add). Readers learn about Sun's classification in the Milky Way, its nearest neighbor stars, how hot and how far away it is from things all within a first person narrative that grabs kids' attentions.

Stevie Levis' artwork is bold and bright and inspired. Perfect for a story that takes place in outer space and on earth's surface (when discussing how Sun helps earthlings).

This is one of those series that you'll want the entire collection. We can't wait for the upcoming titles.

The boys and I enjoy this series.

We enjoy the series in general. This particular book (sun) I don't enjoy the sun's self aggrandizing, but I don't think the kids care or notice. It's supposed to be funny, but it's a bit overdone. Lots of good information in these books

Not as good

Not as cute/entertaining as the Moon book but it still provided some good kid friendly facts. Will also use in my classroom to accompany our Earth and Space unit

Fun about Sun!

This book is great and engaging while providing facts. I love the illustrations; just the right amount of realism and fantasy. I really hope the author makes books for the other planets

Nice & informative!

These books were at the Souvenir shop in the Discovery Cube Science Museum. We wanted to buy the set, but would’ve been a bit expensive. So we bought one and ordered the other 2 on Amazon. My 7 year old enjoys these books and has learned a lot about our Moon, Sun and Earth.

Bets book

We love this book at our house. It’s one we don’t get sick of. I love how educational and fun it is. We originally bought the board book version of the earth book at costco for a friend. We loved the earth one so much we had to buy one for ourselves and get this sun one. One of the best children’s book we own.

Cute intro to the sun

My daughter and I loved the earth book so much that I immediately ordered this one as a follow up. It is cute, and a well done book. Just not quite as inherently engaging/interesting as the earth story. (How do you compete with Planet Awesome?)
