Cute Wiener Dog. . . But Scary Stuff Too!

There's nothing wrong with this cute book, but my grandkids were too young for it. I saw it was about a dachshund and we have one, so I just bought it because I could call the dog by our dog's name and I knew the kids would like that. But until I started reading it to them, I didn't know that it was going to take a very scary turn in the spooky woods. The dog comes to the rescue in the end, but it should only be shared with kids who are old enough to not have nightmares from ghosts and monsters and the like. Fortunately, I flipped ahead while I was reading it and saw where it was going and I skipped the scary part! Anyway, great book for Halloween, but I will put it on the shelf until the kids are older!

Not Sure Why They Sent Me a Beat Up Copy When I Ordered New...

Absolutely love the story, but for some reason the copy I got looks like it's super beat up and well-used, even though I ordered a new one. The binding is mashed, the corners are folded, etc. I'll still keep it, but I didn't order a used/beat up copy.
