"No matter how far you ran, your past would always catch up to you."

An honest love story about letting go, healing the past and finding happiness in second chances. Not many authors can write high society characters that seem very down to earth and relatable, but K.A. Linde has a knack for it for sure! She also writes some mean angsty twists that have you turning pages and switching teams so fast you get whip lash. This duet puts you through the gamut of emotions, it was sweet and endearing yet so frustrating that you just want to slap some sense into the H/h at times! But isn't that what the best love stories do...make you feel? Great read from a great author!

Starting David's fan club!! Loved this book (and duet) so much!

Faithful to her style the author delivers an angsty and sexy story. With an utterly emotive and intense writing, K.A. Linde shows us the healing power of love. The emotional parts got me weeping, but in some moments I found myself smiling with hope. The characters are in a constant battle with their feelings, and the plot is a fascinating mix of frustration, attraction, friendship, familial drama and unconditional love, among other things. There are a lot of things happening in this book. Sutton has to face, for real this time, her feelings and what she wants for her future; David has to find out if his place is with Sutton or apart from her. And while they are getting things straight, we get to enjoy a little more about the secondary characters while dreaming about them getting their own stories (I’m talking about Penn, in case you were wondering).

I loved this book. I loved Sutton and David’s story and how things ended for them. And I also loved to get to see (or read) about… Jensen’s wedding , lol. I think this is it for the Wright family, at least for a while, and while it’s a little bittersweet to say goodbye to the characters we've come to love over these last six novels, I’m excited about the author’s new projects. Can’t wait to read her again!

The Wright One, the conclusion

The Wright One by KA Linde is the second book and the conclusion to Sutton and David's story. I strongly recommend to read the previous book, The Wright Love, first.
The Wright One picks up right where The Wright Love left off.
Sutton feels betrayed by David and makes him leave. David, while innocent, is devastated. He expects she accepts his apology and they can move on. But Sutton's still griving her late husband, Maverick. She's already through so much and it is heartwrenching to read what happens next. There's so much heartbreak and pain, she gets hurt over and over.
While I reslly loved David's character in the previous book, now he acts like a not so nice man. Yes, I get that both are hurt and insecure, but David acts like he owns the only truth. I can't say he's still one of my favorite characters.
But the writing is great and I could very easily connect with Sutton and the other sidekicks. I give 4 stars.
