Nursing School Entrance Exams Prep 2021-2022: Your All-in-One Guide to the Kaplan and HESI Exams (Kaplan Test Prep)

Don't buy it if you have 2019-2020 Prep book already. It is an identical book as the Nursing School Entrance Exams Prep 2021-2022!!!! There is no difference between these two items!!!

I personally do not like that the "practice test" arent even the full length of what is on the actual KAPLAN exam. 91 questions on the real exam and only 60 practice questions. I need full length quesrions to get in test prep mode.

Mostly just reading, very few actual practice questions. Not sure how helpful it will be.

I was expecting new questions, but it is the same as the 2019-2020 study guide.

Update: Took the kaplan exam last month and this book did not help. I still passed the exam though

This book is not at all geared for the Kaplan nursing entrance test, which is crazy because the book is put out by Kaplan. The practice tests are set up like the Hesi, and it tests on things that are not on the Kaplan. Some of the information is okay, but you don’t get any math practice questions. Very disappointing purchase.

The book is hot as helpful as I thought it would be! The practice test for the math and science are harder than the actual test. You can use free resources such as YouTube to help you study and other resources. I would not recommend this book

The KNAT reading and writing portions are very basic. Don't focus on parts of speech or worry too much about vocabulary. Work on the rules of grammar, paragraph logic, and identifying themes. The math portion provided all conversion information in the question, and does not go beyond basic algebra. The science portion doesn't focus on biology, chemistry, or physics. Focus on body systems, especially cardiac, respiratory, and neuro. There is so much unnecessary information in this book, especially considering this shouldn't be new information for anyone taking a nursing entrance exam. Quizlet was a remarkably more useful review tool, and many of the science questions I reviewed there were practically identical to questions on the KNAT. Very disappointed I wasted money on a text by the company that created the exam only to discover it isn't at all geared towards the actual test. Thankfully I had the time and opportunity to review varied materials. I strongly suggest you do as well. The smart edition online course is great for the math and science portions of you need a bit more structure or just feel overwhelmed.

The book was great for the reading, comprehension and math sections BUT for the science it was nothing like the test and I was vastly unprepared. The science section was much more detail oriented than what the book preps you for. Study wisely!

Helped me get prepared for my test! I have bad test anxiety this book helped.

Get this book at least 6 months before you take the test. I made the mistake to wait until last minute and ended up missing some information that was on the test and in the book. I definitely recommend if you didn’t wait until last minute.
